Laura was classically trained as a Cardiac Nurse, having worked in several area hospitals as a staff/charge nurse and worked as a Hospice Nurse, caring for patients at the End of Life. It was during that time that she began to question the traditional medical establishment and it's response to chronic illnesses.
She sat with patients, who had been diagnosed with chronic illnesses, such as Diabetes and Congestive Heart Failure and while educating them on their illness was told repeatedly, "No one ever told me this stuff. You mean, if I just changed how I ate or monitored my intake of salt, etc, I could have avoided this? Why didn't my doctor tell me this years ago?" Her passion for educating people set her on this mission to create a "Sanctuary" for the community and practitioners to come together in the pursuit of optimum wellness. She is also a Certified Qigong Facilitator/Instructor, having facilitated 600+ person 4-day seminars, teaching Qigong, Food Healing, Energy Healing and Care for the Caregiver. She speaks locally on topics related to health and wellness and patient advocacy. She is also a proud member of The Pearl Society, a women's philanthropic organization founded by Bay Area Legal Services.
She is also an Ordained Minister with Universal Life Church and The Universal Light Church. She has trained with many leading Natural Health experts, and continues on the quest for knowledge in all areas of Natural Health. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Naturopathy. |

He is a Primary Care Provider seeing patients with all common ailments that may usually take them to their medical doctor. Dr. Frank practices family 'corrective' chiropractic, which corrects and rehabilitates the spinal curvature using appropriate spinal adjustments. He believes health begins with balancing and maintaining a properly functioning spine and nervous system. She pursued her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at the University of Colorado, in Boulder, Co. She worked for many years as a Certified Nursing Assistant for a home health agency that specialized in care of individuals with Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy and Spinal Cord Injuries.
She contributed to the content editing of one of the groundbreaking books in the field of acupuncture, Mikio Sankey's Discern the Whisper, the second volume of his book Esoteric Acupuncture. everyone knows this company believes knowledge is power and I spent the first four months in intense training on overall health issues, our digestive system, and the importance of detoxification with Brenda Watson and her qualified staff, before I became a staff educator and educated health food store staff across the united stated.
After turning down a position in Colorado for ReNew and choosing to stay in beautiful Florida, I met Tom Bohager, President and Founder of Enzymedica, Inc. He offered me a chance to become an educator for his company and set up their inside sales and education team. For the next two and a half years I stayed with them. This was a great opportunity to develop my knowledge of the importance of a nutritional foundation and the roll our digestion plays in supporting the over all health of our body, as well as the healing factors that enzyme therapy can provide and assist in the many ailments that we are plagued with in today’s world. Having worked for years with both chiropractors and spas, Richard is thrilled to be a member of a center filled with such diverse and talented practitioners. As an active promoter of holistic health, he believes that every aspect of one's life and lifestyle is connected, and that achieving maximum health and balance requires addressing every level of our mind/body/spirit selves. Despite being born with Palindromic Rheumatism, in high school Maria still excelled at basketball, hockey, and long jump. At the age of eleven she jumped fifteen feet, breaking the British Junior long jump record. Her passion for fitness then lead her to the United Kingdom Tae-Kwon-Do association. Eight years and two trophies later, she hung up her belt to study the art and science of Yoga.
Maria learned trauma release techniques at the Institute of Hypnosis and Parapsychology in her native England. She used hypnosis to
help her clients relieve mental and physical trauma related stress at her private practice in Rugby. Maria wrote and presented her first
wellness workshop in 1983. It was a natural progression from there for her to embrace the ancient science of yoga.
In 1986, Maria moved to Tampa, Florida. In the US, she went on to become a Post Rehabilitative Exercise Specialist, and a Certified Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine. In 1999, at the University of South Florida, she took a Certified Yoga Instructor’s course offered by Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana, a Yoga research center in India. Maria says, “at the age of twenty four I could punch through four inches of wood, but I was too tight to touch my toes. Now, three decades later, through yoga practice I am more flexible and balanced than I have ever been in my life! There is no greater pleasure for me than helping my clients to feel the same way.”
